FAQ

Common questions about calcium imaging analysis

What imaging modalities are supported?

NeuroAIDA supports both 1-photon (miniscope) and 2-photon calcium imaging data. Parameters are automatically optimized based on the detected modality.

What calcium indicators are compatible?

We support GCaMP6s, GCaMP6f, GCaMP7, jGCaMP8, and other common calcium indicators. The platform auto-detects indicator characteristics from metadata when available.

How does the auto-tuning work?

NeuroAIDA uses a template database of validated parameters based on imaging modality, brain region, and calcium indicator. If initial detection quality is low, the system automatically adjusts parameters and retries.

What file formats are accepted?

TIFF stacks (single and multi-page), HDF5, and raw binary formats. Maximum recommended file size is 10GB for optimal processing speed.

Can I export results for further analysis?

Yes! Export options include ΔF/F traces (CSV, NPY), spike times, ROI masks, and NWB format for compatibility with other neuroscience tools.
